Wake up to the Joy of You by Agapi Stassinopoulos

This book is 52 light posts guiding you on the way back to yourself.  Each chapter has a meditation if you choose to do it but if you don’t that is okay because the content in the book will be a great motivation to keep reading.  The chapters are organized to begin with the building blocks of self-care and leads you to understand your road blocks to self-care.  Roadblocks are giving your energy to other people like when you should not or living in denial of some aspect of your life.  I loved the chapter on how to get over your childhood.  I loved that I can now make changes in my life, trust my creativity, let go of any possession that no longer serves me.  On page 11, asks the question are you a people pleaser?  Rob Reiner said it best when he said, “everybody talks about wanting to change things and help and fix, but ultimately all you can do is fix yourself.”  Overall this is a morning and evening meditation book for anyone who wants to live a happier life permanently. I have to Thank Blogging for Books for the free copy of the book in exchange for my unbiased review. @ 2017 Jackie Paulson
