2017 Jan 20th President TRUMP Inauguration

The statement the President has to memorize and say to the people is “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

As I read that I do believe Donald will be faithful in office and have our best interests at heart as the changes are implemented.  To be able to say I am a part of the history where Donald Trump changes America to a better place.  I have all my faith in Him!  I read also that the inauguration starts at 11:30 so I am going to be glued to the television set to watch the event unfold.

Find updates on the inaugural wreath laying ceremonywelcome concertparadeballs, and national prayer service. Learn about the swearing-in ceremonies, as well as the military’s involvement in the inauguration events.

The peaceful transfer of power that has occurred on every U.S. Inauguration Day is a hallmark of our country’s democracy.

Did you know that the first President of the United States, George Washington, delivered the shortest inaugural address at 135 words?

Or that William McKinley’s 1901 inauguration was the first one to be filmed?

Book Review:The history of new innovations in modern Medicine by James Okun, MD and Evangelita Goodwell

New thought and the threat to traditional Medicine
The history of new innovations in modern Medicine by James Okun, MD and Evangelita Goodwell

The history of Medicine includes the history of discoveries.  In this book, the author will give detailed information on the Dialysis machine, penicillin, the Foley Catheter, a new way of seeing the world, important and new innovation discoveries, as well as what these pioneer had in common as they came to discover the knowledge and tools those in medicine needed to prolong lived.

The reason I wanted to read this book is back in the day my real mom died of penicillin shot because she was allergic to it.  I also wanted to learn about cancer since my dad recently died of it.

If it were not for the inventions made by doctors in medicine many would have died in WW II.  The author would of become a Board Certified in Ophthalmology if it were not for his two types of disease that prevented him for obtaining it.  Who discovered Penicillin?  Dr. Alexander Fleming.  If it were not for the doctors the author would have died at a very young age from his diseases.  This is a book every American should hold in their hands, read, learn, and absorb.  This is my all-time favorite book in 2017!  @ 2017 Jackie Paulson

To Trust a Wolf – by Danielle Hardgrave

Helen is an archivist working in a museum and she is in charge of an annual event where she collects money from donors to keep the museum running. Her job is very important to her.  A historical discovery regarding a Viking hoard attracts a lot of people and that causes an increase in her responsibilities. Unknown to her, there is something hidden in the artefacts which puts her life, museum and everyone else in danger.

Here comes Rune Helsen, a dashing man to her rescue with a secret of his own. His agenda is not pure or clear until the end. However, he does seem to grab the heart of our heroine and as she falls for him, Rune manages to reveal this secret to Helen while explaining the reason why many are interested in the Viking hoard.

She tags along with him on this discovery and they are now on a mission, which will continue on as Book 2.

I was astonished to see how a short story could contain this much novel content. I was very impressed by how this Author did not waste anytime in including backstory and managed to build enough character to continue with her next book.

The paragraphs, literary standard and dialogues were very well put together and easy to understand. There was no fluffing of pages and I was pleased with the mannerism of the entire plot including the twist in the story.

The tale does contain sexual content and supernatural creatures such as, Vikings, Vampires and Werewolves. This paranormal romance did also remind me of the Twilight Saga.

I recommend this book to anyone that is interested in a short story filled with paranormal creatures.

Angles – Part I by Erin Lockwood

This review was kindly requested by the Author, Erin Lockwood

The story of Angels is a captivating tale about a girl names Caralee. She has a loyal group of friends and one best friend, Teddy who looks out for her all the times. He gets married at the beginning of the story to a lovely girl named Anne. Although the triangle at first looks like he has feelings for Cara and it is going to be a troublesome trio, the story takes on a new drama twist with the appearance of a dashingly handsome man named Sam.

Sam is everything a girl wants not just by the way he looks but also his mannerism. The sense of security, sensuality, and his gentlemanly behavior is to perfection. His presence alone brings along turmoil of emotions for Cara, let alone the way he interacts with her. There is a slight problem, though; Cara is already in a relationship with another gentleman, Jason.

The protectiveness of Teddy also takes a great deal of affect in this tale where Sam and Jason both are his friends, and he appears to have strong feelings for Cara himself, as well.

This dynamic tale of events does certainly wrap your head in a twist but, thankfully not so much of a knot. The pace and level of understanding are superb along side the skill in making each character appealing to the reader. The Author has excellent taste in expressing what actually goes on in a woman’s head. There was so much back and forth that even I, as a woman felt like saying “no wonder they say we, as women, are complex.”

I found Cara not as mature and robust as I would have liked her to be. When you have so many men wanting to be with you and constantly trying to steal your affections, then a substantial lead would be more attractive. The issue Cara had was that the men she was in a relationship would not commit to her and in her defense, she does come to a realization that she has to grow up, but it is a little too late. Altogether, her vulnerability was pleasing to the plot, and I enjoyed the inter-connectivity of the whole story together.

The ending is sweet and promises a second series. I look forward to finding out what happens to this girl and her friends.

I recommend this book to contemporary romance readers. You will enjoy reading this book in one sitting.

Wake up to the Joy of You by Agapi Stassinopoulos

Wake up to the Joy of You by Agapi Stassinopoulos

This book is 52 light posts guiding you on the way back to yourself.  Each chapter has a meditation if you choose to do it but if you don’t that is okay because the content in the book will be a great motivation to keep reading.  The chapters are organized to begin with the building blocks of self-care and leads you to understand your road blocks to self-care.  Roadblocks are giving your energy to other people like when you should not or living in denial of some aspect of your life.  I loved the chapter on how to get over your childhood.  I loved that I can now make changes in my life, trust my creativity, let go of any possession that no longer serves me.  On page 11, asks the question are you a people pleaser?  Rob Reiner said it best when he said, “everybody talks about wanting to change things and help and fix, but ultimately all you can do is fix yourself.”  Overall this is a morning and evening meditation book for anyone who wants to live a happier life permanently. I have to Thank Blogging for Books for the free copy of the book in exchange for my unbiased review. @ 2017 Jackie Paulson
